Day 1 - Diani to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary
6:00 a.m.: Pickup from your hotel in Diani and begin your journey toward the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary.6:15 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.: Scenic drive. The road trip takes approximately 4 to 5 hours, depending on traffic.10:30 a.m.: Arrival at Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. You will arrive at the main entrance, where you'll pass through the gate and begin your first game drive on the way to the lodge.12:00 p.m.: Check in at Salt Lick Safari Lodge.1:00 p.m.: Lunch at Bura Restaurant. Enjoy a buffet lunch of Pan-African, Pan-European, and Pan-Asian cuisine while watching animals gather at the waterhole.3:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.: Afternoon game drive. Your private driver/guide will take you on an extended game drive in the sanctuary.6:00 p.m.: Return to the lodge.8:00 p.m.: Dinner. A buffet dinner is served at the restaurant.Overnight: Listen to the sounds of the African bush from the comfort of your room at Salt Lick Safari Lodge.
Day 2 - Taita Hills to Diani
6:00 a.m.: Wake up and enjoy coffee or tea. Witness the sunrise from your room's balcony as the animals begin their day at the waterhole.6:30 a.m.: Early morning game drive. This is the best time for wildlife viewing, as predators are often active before the heat of the day. Your guide will take you out for one last opportunity to spot any animals you missed yesterday.9:00 a.m.: Return for breakfast. Enjoy a full buffet breakfast at the lodge.10:00 a.m.: Check-out. Settle your bill for any extras and say goodbye to Salt Lick Safari Lodge.10:30 a.m.: Depart the sanctuary. Enjoy a final game drive as you exit the reserve and begin the drive back toward Diani.1:00 p.m.: Your driver will find a suitable place for an en route lunch break.2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.: Drive toward the coast. Travel back along the highway towards the Indian Ocean.4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.: Drop-off in Diani. You will be dropped off at your hotel or preferred location, marking the end of your safari adventure.
