Day 1 - Pick up from your Diani, Mombasa Hotel or Airport and Begin the Drive to Tsavo East National Park
06:00: Your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel in Diani. After a short briefing, you will begin the journey inland via the Mombasa–Nairobi highway. The drive to Tsavo takes approximately 2 to 3 hrs.10:00: Arrive at the Bachuma Gate and enter Tsavo East National Park. You will begin your first game drive as you head toward Voi Safari Lodge. Your guide will open the pop-up roof of your safari vehicle to provide a better vantage point for wildlife viewing.10:00–13:00: Enjoy your morning game drive. Tsavo East is known for its large herds of elephants, which often appear reddish from bathing in the park's soil.13:00: Arrive at Voi Safari Lodge for check-in and lunch.16:00–18:00: After a brief rest, embark on an afternoon game drive. Explore more of Tsavo East's landscape and search for the animals you haven't yet seen.18:00: Return to Voi Safari Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay. You can relax by the viewing platform and watch animals at the waterhole at night.
Day 2 - Early Morning Game Drive then Depart Tsavo East to Taita Hills & Saltlick Game Drive
06:30: Enjoy a pre-breakfast game drive, a great time to spot wild cats, which are most active in the cooler early morning hours.08:30: Return to the lodge for a full breakfast.09:30: After breakfast, check out of Voi Safari Lodge with a final game drive as you exit Tsavo East.11:00: Drive to the adjacent Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, a private conservancy known for its scenic hills and intimate safari experience.13:00: Arrive at Taita Hills Safari Resort and Spa for lunch. Afterward, you will be transferred to the iconic Salt Lick Safari Lodge, where you will check in and have some time to relax.16:00: Head out for a game drive within the private sanctuary. Your guide will help you spot elusive species in this less-crowded setting.18:00: Return to Salt Lick Safari Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay. The lodge is built on stilts, offering exceptional views of the floodlit waterholes from your room or the observation deck.
Day 3 - Early Morning Game Drive then, Check out of the Lodge and Begin your Drive back to Diani or Mombasa
06:30: Begin your last day with an early morning game drive in the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. This is your final opportunity to see the animals as the day begins.08:30: Head back to Salt Lick Safari Lodge for breakfast.10:00: Check out of the lodge and enjoy a final game drive through the sanctuary as you exit.12:00: Depart from Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary and begin the scenic drive back toward the Kenyan coast.16:00: Arrive in Diani and be dropped off at your beach hotel, concluding your 3-day safari adventure.
